nice find archangel62, but its not a real GT-R.
thats an 1800GT, that originally had 1 of those SOHC engines that have the rocker gear mount in the rocker cover, and the cover has a smaller inspection plate on the side.
that car has had the twin cam fitted by someone, and its not a real good job of it anyway.
the paint job is totally wrong on that grey one.
a real GT-R looks like this, and was available in white as well.
they had the small 'bumperettes' like the grey one, but also had fog lights on a special bar, like this.
*just noticed that this GT-R has the 'GT' badge and the 'DOHC' badge on the wrong way around.
the 'DOHC' should be on the drivers side, and the 'GT' on the passenger side*
the tailights on the grey one are the give away, those big square jobbies were only on the late 1800 SOHC GT's.
GT-R's had these long skinny ones.
and heres a real GT-R engine bay.
oh, and there was only 1069 GT-R's built, and these days will set u back about 1.8 million yen ($18,000 A).
hope this help, and i'll see if i can find some more info on them.
ive got some... somewhere!
BTW, we never got GT-R's here, or 1800GT's for that matter.
We got the normal 1600GT with the pushrod G161 engine.
I'm actually restoing 1 as we speak.
