Surely a search here or elsewhere (HoldenGem, Ozgem) should find info, including the timing. It's a pretty standard replacement, and usually sufficient to wire the chain to the sprocket (so it doesn't slip a cog) whilst keeping it up so it doesn't slip off the bottom of the crankshaft sprocket. And ...

A lot may have been politics too. We never saw their 4200 V6 released, nor their coolant-free ceramics, nor their hi-density batteries. The W's could achieve hi power with simple mods (eg G200W way over 200HP) but as above, it was a mid-1960's design and suited for RWD. They did their G-series SOHC ...

Good one KE20! You'll need the 117 type oil filter that faces upwards, not the Gemini forward-down type as originally shown. I'm after spares of them too, but swapping shouldn't be too hard. Many G200Ws in Oz are from 117s and Gemini owners want the rarer Piazza/Gemini types. You already have the Pi...

Maybe they had the L1 cams? Maybe WA = DOHC Australia = HDT => L1 cams? Just kidding, but noting that as I stated elsewhere, I believe L1s were used by HDT their Rally Geminis (fairly definitely) and circuit racers. But the L1s are also the cams used for the 2x45DCOE 220+HP G200W setup. (I know anot...

I thought no hole, just solid. And was it some Yamaha shim that was close? But it must be hardened etc (eg, shim steel). Normal washers will hammer and flatten and break, then scratch and $$$$. And its surfaces must be parallel. Shims are usually ground or polished down. I know to that some type of ...

Nick - I hate you. I thought I had left EFI etc for a while.... That's a great link. I have seen it before, but maybe it was this viewing that finally made me see its significance. Wow! Now my memory is a bit vague (EFI is so last year for me), but.... I think Piazza injectors were about 220cc/m so ...

Damn bikes - always changing things. I thought they'd be 36mm or bigger Mikunis etc. But now, a few decades later..... Also considering that (eg) twin DCOE48s are ideal for a G200W - which is ridiculous for a mere 2 litre - I figured a 1 - 1.5L bike system would be under fueled. But TBIs with enough...

Curious breakage! And what a sht! But as you say, the timing (no pun) was lucky. You have probably seen me mention L1 cams elsewhere. I was told these were a race profile and normally too lumpy (or unsuitable) for street, but that they are fine in the G-W series. But someone in OzGem(?) said L1's ar...

Bleeding brakes
I agree with Poida's overhaul tips. (I'm not disagreeing with the rest - it's just that I don't own a Gemini!) The metho tip is good. I usually only wash in water which is surprisingly effective (brake gunk usually looks as if it needs petrol or U-236 to dissolve). Also good tip about NOT honing Al/...
