My input would be - if you're not sure your cams are dialed in right, turn the engine over by hand first. If a valve hits a piston and you're turning it over by hand, it shouldn't do much damage (if any), and if the valves kiss you'd probably know about it before you screw anything up... As opposed ...

That must feel awesome! Mine's nearly ready too. I can't wait. If you got new rings, remember to bed them in ASAP. I'm not even gonna start mine when it's in there, or maybe once to check electrical system, but I'm just gonna take it straight to the dyno place and have them bed the rings in, and tun...

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of what Poida said - except I don't know half as much . I've heard of plenty of problems running turbo blow through carby, because the carby isn't set up correctly, some people even think you can't do it (which of course we know isn't true). I'd say have it ...

WTB: Throttle Position Sensor for G180W throttlebody
As topic says... Just after a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) from a G180W throttle body. I could fit one off of another motor but I'd rather save myself stuffing around and just fit what bolts up, for once (since half of my stuff doesn't). Also, if anyone has a stock fuel pressure regulator from G18...

lol :D I thought the twincam rods were forged not cast or something, or that they were at least meatier and stronger. I'm guessing the oil feed line in the SOHC rods would do the same thing as in DOHC? Methinks I'll just leave the upper bearing shells, if I get bearing noise I'll change em and see i...

Nick, Thanks for reading through my post - I was hoping someone would but I've been enough of a pain, so I didn't want to ask. I thought when fitting bearing shells you just use some engine oil? That's what I used when I repacked the upper rod shell. I have some heavy duty grease I could use instead...

Got the head back awhile ago, it looks sweet as, looks very ported too. I'm gonna get a 1mm copper head gasket made, and sell the one I bought, it'll just be easier that way. Also going to o-ring the block because it's cheap ($88-$148 depending on where I go). Here's what's left: -Head gasket -Oring...

Both sides of the Z bearings have the holes drilled in them (ACL anyway, even though the holes aren't used), so two sets wouldn't help. Unfortunately it completely blocks off the oil supply hole. I was thinking that they may be able to be modified despite the existing hole... It's hard to explain ov...

:( That must feel shit man... I'd hate to have to sell my car unwillingly for money reasons, even moreso if it actually worked lol. Get an evening job or something? If I had the money I wouldn't try to haggle as it's just not fair on you, but I don't, I'm poor and every cent goes to my twincam. Best...

Hmm do all copper head gaskets need O-ringing? ACL, the mob who made this, said this doesn't but apparently, according to a guy at a business (who stood to gain from saying this), ACL havn't been doing copper gaskets for long and don't know their stuff. However I am inclined to think the guy who tol...
