No, that is definately not right Nick, the Delco 808 CAN be tuned in real time. I'm just working on the best way to tune in real time at the most economical price. There is a package on the market called KalMaker. It is a modified 808 with the memcal replaced by a special board with a flash memory c...

I see that for some unknown reason new members are still not being activated. This seems to me as if there might be a problem in the automated activation procedure. For the moment I've changed the method from user activation to one where I have to approve each new member. This is only till I can wor...

Registration Activation Problems
I see some new members are not showing as active. This means that for some reason the registration process has not fully completed. I have activated all new members who were listed as inactive and sent emails to everyone as well. If for some reason your registration doesn't complete as it should, pl...

It's not a rush job right now but what I'm wanting to do is to set up the Tg of mine as it was originally if I can get hold of an air flow meter. Failing that the next option would be to get a basic Delco setup in order. Some of the existing sensors etc could be used and a few other componets need t...

Who has used a Delco 808 (in any application, not just a twin cam) and how did you set it up?

Well I haven't really looked hard around my place because I have always run ULP in any petrol powered Gemini's I've owned anyway. I don't think LRP is still available here. As far as I know it was destined to be phased out so it may already have happened. I suppose the bureaucrats stubbornly keep on...

Mate, thanks for the positive attitude. The main purpose of making this special forum was to widen the net for the people who like myself, are stuck with a need to source and compare info as well as find components. I'd seen a fair bit on other forums but searching through to retrieve it again got t...

Well I'll keep selling the virtues of the Delco 1227808 because there isn't much on the aftermarket menu with the credentials and pedigree to match them. I'm going to cop an ear bashing from people who spent the money on Microtechs and Wolfs and all the rest but I'm comfortable in the knowledge the ...

Actually Robbo, you have made an interesting point bringing up your question about filler restrictors. I wouldn't mind researching the available fuels to see what the consequences would be if you were to run a late model ULP car on the current blend of LRP. Because it no longer contains any lead com...

What ever requirements the law makes, it is desirable to run a catalytic converter on an engine that operates on ULP. It can't do any damage and in many ways it's probably a good thing. It does reduce certain emissions. You might expect someone inspecting the car to look a little more favourably if ...

Updating your LOCATION in your profile. (All please read)
It would be helpful if everyone made certain that their location was displayed in their profile. When referring to state related rules, what is right in the state you live in may be different to a similar rule in another state. For example; this is very evident in vehicle modifications and we all kn...

Things I really like about the 808 are the ability to pick up spare parts from any wreckers and the prices are dead cheap. Pick up an ECU without MemCal for about $25 (any more than that and tell them to stick it) as well as the fact any cop or EPA dude inspecting it just presumes it's all stock OEM...

Poida's G180W engine in a TG Gemini sedan.
It's covered in muck but it runs. It needs a replacement A/F meter which I'm hunting around for. If I can't get one, eventually I'll adapt a Delco 808 with appropriate hardware. for the moment it's 'in storage'. TG sedan with imported G180W engine (including original EMS) & close ratio 5 ...

See that beautiful phpBB image up in the top left hand corner...? I want to replace it. Thoughts of a G series twin cam engine sound good to me. What say we search for suitable images and post them in this thread. We can all have a say in a choice of image. The final image will need to be approximat...
