Just as a side note, spoke to my mates brother who said theres a joint somewhere in south melbourne that reco's old water pumps for next to nothing. He got quoted 750 for a replacement water pump for his forklift, got it reco'd in a day for 90.

I had a Bellett pump reco'd in SthMelb for $65 years ago (1980s?). At the time, new pumps varied from $unobtainable to over $230. (But years later I got 1 or 2 for $120 each courtesy of the BCCV Inc.)
The place was something "Air-Conditioning" (for cars) - a name you do NOT associate with pump recos! (If I find the name, I'll post.)
I thought pt might hate me - I sold him one for $140 plus freight - but then I realised $US vs $AUD. Phew - not too bad. (Mine are new, albeit NOS.)
I assume the ones you can get are not genuine?
I'm ok for them - I still have one I might sell - but I suspect it would be well worth while getting more whilst still available.
Or are these likely to be available for a while?
These should be available for a little while, I checked manufacture stock and they show several. But, as the LUV trucks become older they may become more difficult to get.
They are not OE but are very good quality.
I have 2 at the moment.
