looks like going onto a 1.6L would be at the end of its efficiency map.
Not to say it cant be done, just that you would only be able to run standard boost as a maximum.

your other option is to set it up as a jet engine, make some noise and heat and waste some propane Cool

yep, its called 'Compound Turbocharging.'

Takes a bit to get the theory around your head, but once you understand it, it makes for VERY powerful setups.
Its normally done on competition tractors running 60-250psi.

I has been done a few times in road cars, but its very uncommon due to large space requirements, expensive engine builds to put up with it, and little practical knowledge on the matter when it comes to tuning.

(good explanations, and lots of pics on page 2)

Gemi Coupe, youve wrecked what could have been an interesteing read.
Germy has been know to go on a bit, why provoke him???

You turned it into a thread full of drivel because you could not keep your pie hole shut.

Proof is gemhead, dropped in and asked about running two of them. That was mentioned early in the bit.

There was a bit of info that were not given at the start that would have made all the difference.

The size of the polaris diesels that the turbos came off.

id say Germy was more than right to say it it wont be matched.

If you want a matched turbo you co to someone who knows with all the info on your engine and take a big fat cheque book with you.

90% of the turbo setups on here would not be matched in that respect, does not mean they dont work, on whatever level they work at.

Bob.

dude WTF!!!
There are countless times where you rag on people just because you feel like it, or you think they have asked stupid questions.
Who the f*#k thinks you have the right to tell me off for it?

I said that he must be right because he knows everything and acts like a 5 year old.
He does act like he knows everything, and he's happy to tell people that.
He does act like a 5 year old, and he proved it by taking the bait.
Also stating that the turbo would be a complete mismatch without any extra info was wrong, seeing as he knows everything, he should know that.
Perhaps you should learn a little from this and keep your pie hole shut sometimes too?

anyways, Nemesis, Its not worth setting them up as twins. The complexity and lack of decent exhaust pulses will make sure it doesnt run very well.
If you were really set on that, you'd be better off with a bigger turbo.
You should be able to pick up a T25 or T28 for around the $300 mark.

thanks for the info mate, probably wont bother going bigger trying to save money for an engne conversion, only really asking about this as the turbos are free.

cheers

I would still get them and hold onto them.
They are well sized for compact cars with 1-1.3L engines, or 600-1200cc bikes Twisted Evil

Would also make a very nice sized paper weight display if you section it and paint it.

Gemi Coupe... while you are having a shot at Bob who chose to say what he did with absolutely no influence from me at all, I have this to say to you.

Who gives a f*#k if I made a statement that YOU think was justification for responding the way you did. YOU made the call about immature, about baiting etc and YOU chose to for nothing more that YOUR personal entertainment. I think that is what Bob is having a shot about, the fact you chose to do what you did in a manner that did nothing to benefit the thread.

It has aggravated a few people who think you were way out of line. Some have communicated privately and I'm not about to disclose who they are but if they wish to add to this thread and air their thoughts publicly they have my blessing.

You think I'm a bit over the top, you think Bob is sometimes, you didn't see how your attitude as a moderator was right out of p[lace. It's like you were power tripping because you were in a position where no one could do anything about it. I for one was pleased to see you no longer moderating because I though your comments were often way out of line and in fact humiliated a number of people here.

Some time back I pointed out to Merv that I saw some seriously ugly situations happening here on this forum and I suggested as owner and administrator it was a situation he had to take some responsibility for what happens here. Merv, I stressed at the time I was not threatening you. I am still not threatening you when I say this:

Gemi Coupe, taking the piss out of someone every now and then in fun is an Aussie way as long as all parties have a laugh about it. Doing it in the way you do, maliciously, to attack and demean the victim is a legal action waiting to happen.

I'm telling you now, I don't consider your shots at me as good clean fun. I consider your attacks as baiting, as defamation, as an attempt to lead others to think I am a worthless person, not worth listening to and full of s*#t.
Should you choose to continue your attacks I will take whatever action I need to, to put a stop to it.

I ask you Merv, as owner of this forum to see to it that no more attacks aimed at me are left published. If anyone does choose to make undue comments such as the likes of Gemi Coupe's comments then I ask that moderators intervene and moderate.

There is absolutely no reason for not removing derogatory comments against any member of this forum. No one deserves to be humiliated, baited or demeaned. This forum is for like minded people to share info and experiences about Gemini cars. Lets stick to that agenda.

so it sounds like you want a free pass to dribble on with crap, to push your personal views on people, some times you have some good info but its usually laced with a lot of dribble.

this is a public forum some times people are going to say things you don't like or don't want to hear.
so AGAIN you threaten the site and the owner of the site with legal action.

your past actions on here will see your threats fall on deaf ears

All I ask for is peace. I don''t come here to cause s*#t. I did nothing to warrant the s*#t that just happened.

Threats you say?

All I ask for is the forum owners and administration should be expected to do. MODERATE this sort of crap so it no longer litters the forum. Does anyone seriously think it is a requirement of the forum to put up with this banter? Read the rules we all agreed to. So often they get broken and only if it suits admin is anything done about it.

I'm deemed a trouble maker because I ask them to moderate when someone like Al opens his trap and abuses me. Nothing gets done about abuse here.

If you think I should begin action to 'threaten' the forum that's fine by me. Say the word and I'll begin. I have no shortage of saved documents I'm sure will make a nice dent on things.

Just don't blame me if it backfires and the place is compromised! I am NOT going to be dictated to by the likes of you or anyone else. I will leave here when it suits me and not by being threatened or abused till I no longer feel it's worth my being here. You have picked on the wrong person if you think I'm one to be pushed about.
