Timing case cover.

Post by katq22 »

Question for you guys. I have 2 G200 twin cams. 1 the 117 type with the upwards facing oil filter and the non ratcheting tensioner and 1 with the downwards downwards facing oil filter and the ratcheting style tensioner. Are the timing covers interchangeable? I would like to put the timing cover with the ratcheting tensioner on the motor with the non ratcheting timing cover.

Thanks
Ben

My understanding is that you can fit the (better) ratcheting type to the earlier.

And let me know if you want to swap the upward filter (and front mounts?) for a Gemini/Piazza type filter etc. (I'm in Melb too.)
