My PF60 (Multiple Images) 56k beware

Post by Watson »

For approx 3 years and countless hours me and my uncle have;

built 2 PF60's

imported 3 ZZ; R / T 's

we have built up 3 G180w Engines

Stripped Multiple cars.. scrounged and modified and traced through the god damn wiring of these cars (with help from a translated wiring diagram and an original workshop manual)

to come up with 2 what i think are exceptional cars.

My uncles is the Red one, Mine is the Green One.

Nice one mate!!!!!

Good to see so much time and effort put into both cars...especially considering their heritage.

Keep us all posted on the third one, plenty of build pics too....so all three are imported cars hey?

Good work!

when you say you imported zzr's and zzt's
What did you do with the orginal body shells from these imports?
The red one is a aus body shell :?: , but the green one. is that japanese body shell?

very nice indeed :D

Hello, Sorry about the confusion..
the red one is an Australian Shell that has been converted.
the Green one is an original the body number starts with "PF60-"

we Imported my green one(it used to be white)
a Grey One, which was orig PF60, body number confirmed it
and a Red/black one one which we are starting to build up also with the body number "Pf60-"

IF YOU LOVE THESE CARS BEYOND BELIEF DONT READ THE NEXT LINE
The grey One was unfortunatly.. the one which we used mainly for parts so... it was used up for parts then cut up then taken to the tip.

now i am currently in the process of trying to register the green one, but apparantly i need an engineering certificate, which is a little bit of a bother cause i dont have any idea where i can get one.

does anyone know any places in Victoria that do engineering certificates?

How where these cars imported? Do you have the DOTARS import approval certificate for the green one?
When was the green car imported? What year?

Yeah I could tell the green one was an import shell by the antenna on the pillar - instant give away.

Before my engineer even looked at my car he sighted the DOTARS import approval certificate. I can pass you the details of my Engineer onto you... His in St Kilda, once you have the engineers certificate its a breeze at VicRoads. What you need for a DOTARS imported car under the 15 year rule is (for my PF60 ZZ/R)
- New Aus Approved Seat belts
- Windscreen
- Intrusion Bars in the doors (Japanese Gemini's, dont have intrusion bars)
I used Australian 79 TD doors are the ADR came in after 77
- Mirrors convex
- Wipper speed
- He also checked the brake warning light

Can I ask why the opel badges, chrome strip around window channel, and chrome door handles, Australian Mirrors as these all non PF60 ZZ/R items, Its all personal preferance, but I try and keep my ZZ/R as close to orginal.

 You chopped PF60 up? oh well.... there is not much stuff left in Japan either - I'm going in 3 weeks
Cheers and nice the see another import on the road soon - im in Melbourne too.

IT has all the stuff required for rego and the doors were changed. and i was too impatient to get all those rivets removed that hold the chrome strips so i just put them on.

and the door handles were pretty much a choice of crap old ones or ones which had been re chromed.. All the badges on the car are the original ones which were on the car when it was imported.

LOL fun fact-
one of the most expensive parts on the car believe it or not was the window seals i believe they cost $1000 for a full set of genuine isuzu.

lol i am not surprised, isuzu NOS stuff is very $$$

i am happy someone else has a pf60 tho.....i thought i was the only person in oz to have or had 2 of them!

having both types (TE and TG style) i pretty much know them back to front, but i would love some input from you as apart from daniel, pf60kev, barry from the isuzu car club and some others, no one really knows much about them

cheers
