G200W distributor cap

Post by Coley »

Gday

I have g200w with a points distrubutor, i'm guessing its an older distributor for that engine. Anyway the distributor cap is arcing between terminals, I can see it in the dark. There are no visible cracks in the cap. Does anyone have any ideas where i could possibly get a dizzy cap from to suit that distributor?

Any info would be great!

Cheers

I have finally got my engine running quite well with the twin carbys, the arcing distributor doesn't seem to be affecting the performance of the engine. Now the sump is leaking and I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a G200w sump gasket?

pretty much can't get a sump gasket for the twincams

try slightly tightening the bolts (note, they should not be done up tight, just done up so the gasket is being squished a bit). or try putting some silicon instant gasket on the rubber aswell if there isn't already some on there.

A place near me can get head gaskets made, I don't know about sump gaskets, but I'd imagine they could have them made. Enquire at all sorts of car places near you, ask if they can have sump gaskets custom made. It shouldn't cost too much (under $100?).

Twincam needs: surge tank, EFI lines, TPS, recored radiator, hoses, assemble the ECU (50% done).

Or convert a Gemini dizzy with RB reluctor.
(Though Bellett caps = Datsun 1600, Cherry etc fit DOHC points dizzies.)
IZU069 - Isuzu means a lot to me.
