Ooops my bad. Not the first time I've confused Darrens with Darryls though I interchange John & David more often!

My advice for our cars & sparts has always been get things whilst you can - not when you need it. Though I then have to put up with whinging by those that didn't, I've had the pleasure of having the part if needed and usually at a cheaper price, else reselling later at the new market price which can prove to be a marvelous investment.

Time to resurrect this thread again, another run of these FM cam bearings has been sourced. Anyone wishing to purchase sets of cam bearings (for the two true cams) please make a note in this thread. The dummy camshaft that is located in the block uses a different set of bearings which we also think we should be able to find.

A certain "OHV" site reckoned the dummy cam bearings can't be sourced though I've heard that before... (and they could).

I have some "Holden" equivalents though I'm get to confirm they are the same - though they have a single split - and then find out what they are out of.

The Holdens weren't equivalent once compared to removed layshaft/dumy-cam bearings.

Oh well, at least I have some spares....

Sorry Terryo, i only just realised the awaiting approval status.

Those gasket sets should be fine for the G180W. IMO the 3mm(?) extra bore size shouldn't be a big deal - certainly not as big a deal as *&*^%%@ !@@$s that put smaller capacity gaskets in larger bores!!!

I still haven't used one of those KP sets but as noted (somewhere) that include the front (orange) gasket between the head and cam chain cover that Permaseals et al omit as well as a larger inter-piston width.

The cam bearings may be committed but let me know if you still want a set just in case.
