Ugly my butt, that blue one's one of the sexiest cars I've seen in ages. Not just cause of the paint and mags either, although I can't say I'm as much of a fan of the earlier shape of the red one. What puts them above the Bellett in handling? I always thought the Belletts would corner pretty mean wi...

I kinda like 8V, just for the look when you've got it apart. Two giant valves per cylinder, it just looks gutsy lol

How much for remote shifter and winged sump?

When you say winged, do you mean internal wings to stop oil slopping around?

WTB *Running* twincam Adelaide

After an engine for my daily. I don't really have much money at the moment, but in a few weeks I should. Engine must be complete and running! From the engine fan to the gearbox, including ECU... I want to drop it in in a day and drive it the next day, basically. If it does have something wrong with ...

I'm no expert but if I had a knock sensor to install I'd be putting it towards the bottom of the block... Too high and end pistons' signals might be overwhelmed by the closer ones, not sure how these things combat that.. but definitely still into solid metal of the block/head. Which ECU are you usin...

I appreciate that it's new and rare... But it's a badge, these do come up from time to time, SoYank's got a whole bunch of them brand new... Highest I'd pay to get it to me (Adelaide) is $50. Post shouldn't be too much. Not near what you're asking but that's my offer, cheers. Hit me a PM/email if yo...

Flywheel is same as SOHC [Eli you should know this because, like always, i told you so haha]. Doesnt hurt to grab a G200 flywheel, pretty sure all DOHC's ran this one although i could be wrong. Haha, yep. G200Z flywheel is the go IMO, better clutch, bigger clutch dumps if you're into all that, nuts...

i hope you saved the old head gasket because it's totally different to the g series and is one of the parts that has to be made. to get the valves out you need a double over head cam remover. if you are using the old valves and cams make sure you label the shims that go under the buckets so you can...

Yeah just reiterating what's been said: G200Z lower end bearings should be a go yeah, just check oil holes line up as BAD44U said. I can't imagine gbox output splines being a problem, I'd say like the rest they'd either be coarse or narrow, I'm told the gearbox I bought is a ZZR close ratio (suppose...

Hey, I can't remember if I ended up doing this or not.. lol, but I don't think I did. I really wanna accumulate videos and stuff of twincams running! Forward TBs on Geminis - hoses

Hey all, I'm thinking of fitting the foward facing G200W throttle body on my G180W, but I'm concerned about hoses. Are all of the required hoses still there? For instance, the two big brake booster hoses? Do the plenums interchange on the same inlet runners/injector bits, or do they have to swap wit...

Sandwich plate compatability

Hey, Having just been through this I thought I'd add some info to the site. For those who don't know, the sandwich plate is the thick sheet of metal between the block and gearbox, into which the starter motor bolts. These are NOT interchangeable with SOHC items, not even when reversed. You cannot mo...

That's interesting, what sorta compression were they talking about? Mitsubishi Colt Evo's (turbo with fmic) run 8.9:1 or 9:1 or something, I'd say this would greatly improve midrange and throttle response, but you'd want either an ECU with a knock sensor, or a damn good dyno tune utilising one. Lots...

If you're going to do a proper turbo setup, and want it to last, think seriously about compression. Stock is 8.9:1 and you won't be able to run much boost without dropping it - but the higher compression will help combat lag. Also be very wary boosting an engine with unknown internals... If I were y...

As someone who has been screwed by this, be VERY wary of what you're going to need. Here's a list, tick off every one, if not factor the costs and time and effort.. -What is the internal condition like? Rings, head gasket, bearings etc? -Does it have a sump with a decent gasket? -Does it have a head...

Ahh, so that's why I got evicted from my last unit! LOL, not kidding either.

Gotta love ambient computer/tv/human being heat. Although I'm guilty of using heaters too.
