Re: twin cam DCOE/DHLA manifolds

40 and 45 are easy enough to find, and not overly expensive, but once you start looking for 48 I reckon you are literally doubling the price of the carbys. Size also needs to be looked at as part of the overall package. Street use might do better with 40 or 45 giving a good overall delivery and a sm...

As some of you know I work in the construction industry as a traffic controller. People often have a completely wrong impression of what we do and the degree of complexity in this line of work. The construction industry has multiple levels of OH&S checks. I need a NSW state Construction Industry...

Yeah, agree bloke. If I had a bit of cash to flash I'd be on the way to pick that up right now. Something about getting the best out of the least does it for me. Back in my younger years when I worked at a place where they imported US iron, I still stuck by with the good old Holden Red in my EH. The...

And finally the server host pulled the pin! Yeah sorry that we were down and out for so long but I had been trying hard to sort things with a person who just lost interest and eventually everyone on his server lost all their sites. Many unhappy people and no one could get any communication with the ...

There is a legal responsibility when running a web site like this. As owner/administrator I'm in a situation where I have to make a decision. If I know something illegal is being discussed and it progresses to forum members encouraging others to also perform illegal things then I have to pull the pi...

Locked diffs are not street legal. The mechanic who mod plates your car should not pass a locked diff. The first cop who sees you skid steer will certainly lock it for you... Locked up in an impound yard. Making suggestions that locking/welding the diff is a viable option is incorrect. No more discu...

I've hesitated in removing some parts of this thread. It's not a case of my having a shot at anyone in particular but one thing I really want to do is to try and keep the site free of discussing illegal modifications. Past experience has shown me that misleading info can lead to others believing tha...

I'd suggest doing a conversion with the Commodore LSD centre. Any VB-VK with LSD is the centre you need. You still use your Gemini housing and the pinion and crown gears but the open wheel differential centre comes out and the LSD differential centre goes in it's place. However, this sort of change ...

I'd stick to 2.25". You may gain a slight advantage at maximum revs with the bigger pipe but you'll lose a little torque off the lower rev pickup if the pipe is too big, you'll also have an annoying bark to the exhaust that attracts the wrong attention. Be honest, how often do you runs at 6000+...

Okies. Brakes are another of the things everyone races off to alter but why? As long as the original Gemini brakes are up to standard they should work fine. Yeah I know, some of you will argue BUT, Gemini series race cars have to run standard brakes. They all run identical pads, Bendix Ultimate pads...

Just be warned, cam bearings are one item no longer available. If you need to replace them you will be looking at modifying some alternative bearing.
