Re: Twincam wiring

That link shows what sort of mentality exists on that forum. Parallel impedances indeed! No wonder wiring up an alternator is too difficult for some. Geez! But lo-Z injectors is not a bandaid solution! The Delco handles lo-Z injectors and it was designed that way. Otherwise they would have used lowe...

Re: Twincam wiring

Provided you have all the bits off the Piazza (ie, sensors, TPS, etc) and it's a reluctor dizzy, it should run. The G200W dizzy reluctor should be capable of driving the ECU. (I can't recall if the RG breaker plate is the same dimension as the G-W. If so, it might be swappable if the lobes are compa...

Re: Twincam wiring

Poida - I thought the Isuzu (low impedance - of course!) injectors were Delco compatible - provided the ballasts/resistors are added. As I understood it, the Delco could power both low-Z & hi-Z, the only proviso being the current limiting for the low-Z (ie, add the resistors). (If any ECU can t...

Re: Twincam wiring

For wiring, I suggest isuzupiazza.com/index and get the 1986 Piazza Workshop Manuals (900 Pages for 4ZC1 Turbo Model) pdf. However that is for the 4ZC1-t and not the G200W Piazza (which uses an I-TEC system with a locked optical dizzy similar to 4ZE1 Jackaroos & Rodeos). You need to get the ECU ...

Re: G161W-G180W-G200W bearing sets (including cam bearings)

That's my recollection - all "block cam" bearings (and big ends & mains) are the same for ALL G-series engines. But the OHC shells are or may be different. There might be (block/dummy) cam groove or hole differences. And some engines had 5 cam shells (GT Bellett G161U) instead of the n...

Re: G161W-G180W-G200W bearing sets (including cam bearings)

Oh dear, it's one of those Netters... They're still learning last millennium stuff! If referring to the OHV cam shells, they are the same on all G-U (OHV), G-S (Jap SOHC) and G-W (DOHC) engines. (G150U, G160U, G161U&S&W, G180S&W, G200W) I can't remember the details of the G161S & G18...

Re: G161W-G180W-G200W bearing sets (including cam bearings)

It's listed on the Isuzu Owners Club (Finland) as a "bearing; cam shaft" (STD) for an OHV engine.
That means the OHV cam = the DOHC dummy cam bearings.

The first digit 9 means it's a Bellett number. 8 is Gemini & Piazza; I think 5 is Florian etc (hence maybe LUV & KB)

Re: G180W injection / ECU issues

The compression etc should be more than adequate. It may simply be an injector problem. Poida fitted a Delco to his Gemini (blue) G180W. I think yours was a green G180W, but that shouldn't matter. Though Delcos are commonly taken from the JE Camira (the last model Camira from 1987 which finally over...

Awaking and old/dead thread, but updating the DOHC distributor situation. Keep the DOHC/G-W dizzy gear (at the bottom of the dizzy shaft) and use an electronic Gemini dizzy - eg, a RWD T-series Gemini or any G-Z engine dizzy with FWD RB-Gemini dizzy guts. This is known as the "RG" dizzy an...

Re: Cam bearing oil supply - dummy cam modifications?

I finally met up with my Guru after many years... As to oil going through the dummy cam or even removing t...

Nothing to be sorry about - I'd rather repeat or even wrong info that could become something... I didn't even recognise the company until I found that other thread. Then reading my own comment that the cam-valley or timing chain cover to head rubber gasket was included stirred up greater interest. (...

Re: G200W Full Gasket Set.

Once upon a time, instead of us multiply & separately buying, we went through someone that acted as a single buyer. The bulk purchase not only made things cheaper, but with only one buyer, the sellers had little leverage for high prices. The Bellett club (BCCV) did similar things in their earlie...

Most other states are the other way around - the engine must meed the ADR for the vehicle - ie, a '79 G200W in a '86 Piazza must meet '86 Piazza requirements.
That's why I like my pre-ADR (1974) vehicles.
