Was going to say you sure they dont have a hole - then i remembered they dont run rockers and the cam is direct on the bucket lol

Excuse the ignorance, but from what i know the shim would be just like a flat washer only larger in diameter and with a small center hole to clear the valve right? If thats the case, any machinist could do something like that up easy. I have a mate whos a fitter and turner, all i need is the right m...

Mmm, im using Antus's TX as my yardstick and if he can make 75rwkw with a 2" exhaust, ill be shattered if mine doesnt  Peter, the late model GSXR's actually use quad throttle bodies not carbies. The ones im after are a 46mm butterfly with a 275cc injector from memory. Should be plenty for...

reground cams seem to work in the SOHC's fine...for that price, im assuming the WADE cams are regrinds as well. Any info on what other profiles they have availible? Also, no mention of them saying to change the buckets? Im abit dubious as to this shim - i can see it gaining more lift that way. Unles...

G200w EFI in Daily

Been saying for a while i want to put an N/A DOHC in a Gemini, well, things are now falling into place. First puzzle piece to make its way into the garage was a one-owner 1980 TE Gemini Sedan, stock as a rock, 99000km, no rust and generally perfect condition. Except for the front end [see below]. ht...

Although the 18RG [im assuming thats what they came out of] might be similar in size its airflow characteristics are completely different. Jetting should help you big time, but why solex's?

I know they cost money, but id ATLEAST go Dellortos.

What sort of mods besides the Kalmaker? Fuel/Ign or fuel only, what dizzy etc. Standard exhaust manifold or extractors?

Would be fun with that sort of power

Fitting a 117 spec DOHC to a Gemini

Theres a relatively cheap "package" on Ebay atm that im sizing up for my Gemini - computer, box and all. Only dilema is its a 117 Coupe spec motor with the oil filter up-and-middle.

Anyone fitted one of these to a Gemini and if so howd u go about it?

If you can lob me a pm with what state each motor is in, how complete they are, what they need, what version they are [ie oil filter location] etc with a price then come tax time we might be talking turkey. Also, heres the quad throttle info for those interested. http://msefi.com/viewtopic.php?t=6627

Pete, im not to worried about torque - im used to driving peaky 4cyl's. Hell, my "torquey" SR20DET only gets going once theres 4000rpm on board, and fook me does it tear yourballs off when it gets there lol. Id rather go 4-1 if its of benifit to top end power. Also another thing Pete, have...

Hypothetical build - just doing my research

Been toying with the idea of building a DOHC for a while now, and seeing as i should have my S15 sold and my Turbo Gemini running within a couple of months, im planning on building something abit pokier for my TE sedan. You know what they say, once you have power its hard to go back... If or when i ...

Eli, Yamaha did toyota heads not Isuzu.

Its rumoured that Lotus did the heads on early Isuzu motors but thats a lot of bullshit. The head is designed by Isuzu and is based on the Escort DOHC design.

Agree with the XF throttle bit as the standard throttle bodys are fair shit, especially if its the twin butterfly type. XF MIGHT be a bit big f...
