Id say his pulling his cock. Pretty sure the journal spacing on the 4Z series is completely different, plus youd need custom rods etc etc. Load of crap. I have heard of using 2T or 3T toyota pistons for higher compression though. If Mikey [Tassie ZZ/Z well Tassie now coz the f***head sold HIS CAR] e...

Two main types, early and late. Early used either twin carbs or the forward-facing throttlebody. They also require a diesel crossmember as the oil filter sits where the engine mount should. Late model [what you have] has the ECGI plenum, oil filter at the front, bolts in, and from memory a different...

Same as SOHC dude. When i get the rebuild book for the G200z im building ill pass the details onto you. It makes sence that the G180/200 DOHC rods would be the same as the G200z bearings, extra oiling hole no doubt needed for the higher RPM these engines would see. That said, the G series engines in...

If the engine builder suggested it then thats fine. Its kind of like linishing except your doing it to the bearings instead. Might sound stupid eli but your not supposed to oil the BACK of the shell, only the part that comes into contact with the journal. Engine oil can work but its viscosity is les...

Theres a couple of options here in my eyes. Its possible that the SOHC top bearing shell can be ran WITHOUT impeding any form of oil flow. Keep in mind that the G161z and G180z only use the lower bearing shell as an oil feed - the G200z uses the top. Theres a possibility that the G200z bearings may ...

It depends on what you need from the car. The standard pistons will be fine with relatively low boost and spot on tuning - bare in mind that the DOHC runs fairly high compression standard and that it wont take too much detonation for the pistons to fail. Head flow is good, particularly when modified...

Because from memory theres only 3-4 of those DOHC VRS sets left in the country and they are about 150-180. Eli you cant use the G161 gasket because the bores are 75mm as opposed to 84 for the G180. Get the G180 SOHC gasket and give it a go. No you cant use just hylomar between the head and block. Ex...
