when you say gas do you mean nitrous if so how much and how much boost.i reckon you could sell the permaseal gasket for the same price as a copper gasket since its nearly impossible to get them. and if you've got the engine apart get some o-rings put in and you wont have to worry

you need to assembly th bottom end and measure how far the pistons hang out the block and work out its cc then minus that from 55cc and thats your combustion chamber size. i think you need to get a plasticine mould of the top of the piston then measure the cc the same way you measured the combustion...

if its got standard pistons they have a dome on them so you need to subtract the dome from the 55cc. is the standard comp ratio no help or have you changed things? i just sed the calc you put a link towith your values and got 8.6:1 with out adding the dome the standard cr is 9:1 so this means the do...

you'll need a manifod inbetween the throttle bodies and head. also you'll need thin throttles with a plenum chamber to turbo it. i believe with turboing your better off just using one large throttle body. multiples work best on n/a motors. so spend the money on other parts.

you need to talk to an engineer. but if yoy can get enough proof the twin cam came out of a gemini you don't have to get it engineered.

the lsd he is talking about is out of the small salisbury in a wb ute cost about 500-1000 and you will blow it to bits. what you need to do is get a romac 28 spline full spool less than $400 and a couple of shortened commodore axles and you'll have a very strong diff but it will be locked so you'll ...

chuck some pictures up and we can start explaining what all the bits are. also where are you located. i think most mechanics wouldn't know what the motor is or rip you off after seeing you don't know much about cars.

it looks like it might need a tidy up. also you want to see if there is a module inside connected if so one pin goes to possitive and one goes to the negative side of the coil i think. if you've got a points coil you'll need to replace it or atleast remove theballastresistor.

thay are prone to tarve the rear of the cams of oil if the oil pump is worn and could of damaged the cam bearings. i had this on one of my motors but i can't see this making a tappet noise unless it damaged the lobe.
have you pulled the tappet cover off to have a look.
