Could you clarify what type of Stromberg it is that is on the car. If it is a CD Stromberg it should be before the turbo. Yes they can go after the turbo but it is an awful lot of fiddling to set them up right. CD Strombergs are Constant Depression carbies, this means they require a vacumm (depressi...

Gemis have a return line and I am pretty damm sure that Rodeos and Jackaroos do to. Check the tank and see what you have coming out of it and see where they go. Return lines more often than not are on or very near the sender/pickup unit while breathers are usually near the top of the tank or exiting...

You say the Fuel pressure is sitting at around 7 PSI Is that throughout the rev range right through to the stumble? If it is then you do not have a pressure problem but you may have a bad float level setting. If the float is to low thenyou could quite well be draining he carby before it can refill. ...

Was it originaly an EFI engine? It sounds to me like its either a restricitive intake or maybe even a restrictve exhaust. With the turbo it would probably be the exhaust. If it was a limiter of some sort you would feel it holding back in each gear although if it just an unmodified carby version it w...

If it is pouring liquid out the pipe you have a problem, maybe the fuel cap is not venting properly or something. All EFI cars pressurise the tank to a certain degree as the return line itself is pressurised. Gottta love that whistling sound on a hot summers day. But to be pouring liquid out one of ...

I'm building two engines and both will have knock sensors as part of the package. I didn't know knock sensors were available for the G series engines. Where did you find them and could you share info like part numbers etc for them? I understand your liking high comp engines, I do to but my need is ...

Hi Poida. I agree with nearly everything you say in your previous post except for the compression ratio. Unfortunately LPG has very little quality control and sometimes the Octane rating of LPG is not uniform. Up until a few weeks ago I also believed that LPG had a high Octane rating and could there...

I think some are getting mixed up with the differences between LPG injection and LPG carburetion. LPG injection is relatively new in OZ but it has been through a lenghty evolutionary process in Europe. LPG carburetion is old as the us of LPG in cars and that s pretty old. LPG carburetion for most ca...
